Kennedy Satterfield

Kennedy Satterfield (Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma) is a strategic leader, digital strategist, and policy advocate with more than a decade of experience building and scaling organizations across the technology sector. At Arizona State University’s Tribal Nations Policy Institute, Kennedy leads strategic initiatives that advance Tribal digital sovereignty through policy, research, tool development, communications, and community partnerships.

Her work focuses on helping Tribal Nations strengthen digital equity, self-determination, and long-term organizational capacity in a rapidly evolving technology landscape. She has contributed to research and resources on Tribal digital sovereignty, artificial intelligence, federal policy, and public media, including the Tribal Digital Sovereignty Guidebook and work exploring digital sovereignty for Tribal Nations in the AI age.

Kennedy holds a Master of Arts in Strategic Communications from Arizona State University and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Social Data Science, with a focus on AI for research, digital communities, and Indigenous representation. She is also involved with AISES AUNTIES Tech Collective, the National Congress of American Indians Tech Task Force, and the Emergence AI Fellowship.

A proud citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Kennedy brings her identity and values into every aspect of her work. She is deeply committed to advancing equity, representation, and sovereignty for Native communities, with a focus on building digital systems, stories, and strategies that support a more connected and self-determined future for Indian Country.
